Baseball & Softball Clinics

Throughout the year, BBRBS runs baseball and softball clinics. These sessions are open to baseball and softball players of specific skill levels who live in Bedford or Hanscom AFB.

Players will be expected to follow club and facility rules, town and state rules.

Important Information

Registration for clinics will be posted here as they are scheduled. BBRBS members will be notified through email of upcoming clinics that they are eligible for.

Equipment

Players will need to bring their own baseball/softball equipment to include: glove, bat, mask, batting gloves, catcher’s equipment, batting helmet. 

If you do not own this equipment, please purchase and have it available prior to the first practice. If you need assistance with equipment to purchase, please know that we have ample gently-used equipment to offer for season use. Reach out to your team manager/coach for more information.

Uniforms

There will be no uniforms provided for clinics.

Winter Training 2024

Winter Training 2024

BBRBS will be running two weekly training options this winter for baseball and softball players of all skill levels in grades 2-8. Registration is open to Bedford and Hanscom AFB residents who entered grades 2-8 in September 2023. Players are able to attend either option.

Both training options will take place on Friday nights.

Open Gym at the BHS Back Gym (from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm). These are open gym sessions, not formal training sessions, and parents must be on site to practice with their player. Again, they are NOT drop and leave. This time is for players to work on pitching, throwing, fielding etc. There will be adults on site for questions and advice.

Winter Training at The Edge Sports Center at 191 Hartwell Road, Bedford (from 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm). These clinics will run for 1 hour and encompasses fielding skills, both basic and advanced, needed for a player’s development. Coaches will communicate about individual sessions through the Crossbar app.

All players must pre-register on the BBRBS website. 

Dates: Fridays, January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, March 1, 8, 15, 22

Times: Open Gym at BHS (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm); Winter Training at The Edge (8:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Fees: $50 for the entire season; come to as many sessions as you'd like.

Ages: Bedford and Hanscom residents in grades 2-8

Uniforms: There will be no uniforms provided for winter training. Players are asked to wear sneakers, baseball/softball pants or sweatpants to all clinics.

Bedford Bolts Winter Training

Bedford Bolts Winter Softball Training

This winter training program is for 6th - 9th grade girls who would like a more advanced skill set needed to play for JGMS and BHS softball in the spring. We are building a skill set for Bedford softball players to compete in a more competitive summer tournament program. This program is not for beginners or first-time players. All players are expected to be 99.9% proficient in catching and throwing a softball during drills. Training sessions will work on all aspects of fielding, catching, hitting, bunting, pitching, base running, stealing and advanced defensive rotations, such as bunt coverage, outfield cutoffs, and base coverages. Players will also work on strength and conditioning.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, and is limited to 20 players.

Dates: Saturdays, January 6 - March 30, 2024, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: Tyngsboro Sports Center, 500 Potash Hill Road

Ages: Bedford/Hanscom girls in grades 6-9
